Former Eagles running back and kick returner James Betterson owns and operates BetterClean Laundry, 6391 Oxford Ave.

Betterson, 64, who retired in 1978, pivoted into laundry two years ago with the rejuvenation of a 3,400-square-foot store.

Betterson signed with the Eagles in 1977 as a free agent, playing 23 games over two seasons.

He worked in sales before buying the laundry, which had a grand opening that attracted former Eagles coach Dick Vermeil and former Eagles wide receiver Harold Carmichael.

The Laundromat features pictures on the wall of Super Bowl LII, the championship parade and other football-related images.

Pricing ranges from $3.49 for a 20-pound wash (plus 25 cents for extra wash or rinse) to $9.99 (plus 60-cent enhancements) for an 80-pounder. ••
